About Andrea


From humble beginnings in Hackney in London, via the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and Brentwood College of Further Education, she has become a successful professional musician. In her words, 'if it's musical, I've done it.' She's written plays, musicals and operas; run music and drama workshops and summer schools; led many community choirs; been a church benefice organist; done loads of studio and recording work and even performs in her own one-woman comedy show.

Andrea has played and sung at hundreds of weddings and funerals and is always in demand.

Andrea runs 2 hugely successful and popular Adult choirs one in Lavenham and one in Bildeston. Upbeat Contemporary Choirs. Together they have raised thousands of pounds for various charities.

Andrea has been the musical director at numerous shows and pantomimes at several theatres including The Theatre Royal, Bury St Edmunds, The Quay, Sudbury and Cliff's Pavilion, Southend-on-Sea to name a few. Whilst working at The Quay, she joined the 'Theatre in Education' team, performing in numerous schools around the country. 

Andrea has been Head of Music, Drama and Expressive Arts at two comprehensive schools in Essex, and a music and drama teacher at an SLD school in Colchester. It was with these extraordinary pupils that she was able to have her most inspirational moment of performing an original composition at The Royal Albert Hall.
